Common Maintenance Items For Copper Cable Recycling Machines

Apr 29, 2026

I. Pre-Start Routine Inspections
A quick inspection should be performed before each start-up to ensure safety and normal operation:

1. Check that the power connection is secure, the voltage is stable (usually 380V), and the grounding device is intact.

2. Check that the blades are tight, without obvious wear or nicks. Replace with YG8 alloy tungsten carbide blades if necessary to improve durability.

3. Confirm that there are no residues or foreign objects obstructing the crushing chamber and conveyor belt to avoid damage during startup.

4. Start the dust removal system, check that the negative pressure is normal, and check for any damage to the filter bags to prevent dust leakage.

⚠️ Safety Tip: All inspections must be performed with the power off. Operating with power on is strictly prohibited.

II. Dynamic Observation During Operation
While the equipment is running, closely monitor the following conditions to promptly detect any abnormalities:

1. Listen for sounds: If abnormal vibrations or metallic clanging sounds occur, stop the machine immediately for investigation. This may indicate loose blades or the presence of hard objects.

2. Check Temperature: If the temperature of the motor or bearings is too high (>70℃), stop the machine to cool it down and add high-temperature grease.

3. Observe the Output: If the copper granules contain plastic, dust increases, or the output decreases, adjust the air classifier's airflow or clean the screen promptly.

III. Post-Operation Cleaning and Tidying After each day's operation, the following cleaning tasks must be completed to prevent material buildup from affecting the next operation:

1. Clean residual debris from the crushing chamber, vibrating screen, and discharge port to avoid blockages that affect efficiency.

2. Wipe the corona electrodes of the electrostatic separator. Anhydrous ethanol can be used to remove accumulated dust and maintain conductivity.

3. Clean the filter bags and pipes of the dust removal system to ensure smooth ventilation and compliance with GB16297 emission standards.

4. Add high-temperature grease to bearings, drive chains, and other moving parts every 10 hours of operation.

IV. Periodic Minor Maintenance Items In addition to daily maintenance, the following minor maintenance items should be performed periodically:

1. Every two weeks: Check and tighten all bolts to prevent loosening and vibration; clean the screen to prevent clogging.

2. Monthly: Thoroughly check the wear of the blades; sharpen or replace dull blades promptly; check belt tension.

3. Quarterly: Conduct an electrical system inspection of the motor and control cabinet, clean dust, and ensure good insulation.

✅ Tip: Establish an "Equipment Maintenance Record Form" to record each inspection, repair, and replacement in detail for traceability and optimized management.
