I. Daily Maintenance (8 hours per shift)

Purge and Empty the Chamber Before Shutdown: After each operation, run the machine idle for 1 minute to expel residual material. Never stop the machine with material on the machine, as this can cause material rebound and jam the cutter shaft.

Check for Cutter Shaft Entanglement: After stopping the machine, open the access door and check if the cutter shaft gaps are entangled with fibrous materials such as cloth strips or aluminum shavings. Clean immediately if found.

Observe Operating Status: Listen for any "clicking" or "rustling" noises during operation. If any abnormality is found, stop the machine immediately and investigate.

Clean the Equipment Inside and Out: Remove accumulated dust and debris from the machine body to keep it clean and prevent dust buildup from affecting heat dissipation and lubrication.

II. Periodic Maintenance (Weekly to Monthly)

Every 500 Hours of Operation: Add high-temperature lithium-based grease (NLGI 2#) to the main shaft bearings and transmission components until the old grease is squeezed out.

Check the tension of the drive belt to prevent slippage or breakage. Verify that electrical wiring connections are secure and that the control cabinet is dry and clean.

Every 1000 hours or six months: Check the reducer oil level and quality; replace if necessary.

Inspect the spindle for any movement or bending, and align the cutter shaft.

Check the hydraulic system (if applicable) for oil pressure, filter cleanliness, and sealing.

Monthly or every 200 hours: Remove the screen and use a high-pressure air gun to blow it back to remove any clogging particles.

Manually rotate the machine to check bearing clearance; replace if there is significant wobbling.

Clean any lint from the motor cooling fan blades to prevent overheating.

III. Special Maintenance for Key Components

Blades: Check wear every 200–300 hours. If the cutting edge radius exceeds 0.5mm or chipping occurs, they must be re-sharpened or replaced.

Re-sharpening should be done using a surface grinder; manual grinding with an angle grinder is strictly prohibited to prevent softening during annealing.

When handling metallic materials, prioritize the use of high wear-resistant steels such as H13Ni and SKD-11.

Bearings: Control the operating temperature between 45–65℃. If the temperature exceeds 65℃, stop the machine and check lubrication and seals.

Equip with dustproof baffles to prevent dust intrusion and accelerated wear.

Lubrication System: Strictly follow the specifications in the instruction manual when adding lubricating oil. Do not mix different brands/grades.

Clean lubrication lines regularly to prevent blockages.

IV. Long-Term Storage and Safe Operation

Long-Term Inactivity: Thoroughly clean the equipment and apply rust-preventive oil to easily rusted parts such as cutter shafts and bearings.

Cover with a dust cover and store in a dry, well-ventilated place.

Standardized Operation: Do not feed in uncrushable foreign objects such as stones or iron blocks. Sort materials before feeding.

Feed evenly to avoid instantaneous overload that could cause the reducer shaft to break.

For equipment equipped with PLC intelligent monitoring, closely monitor current and temperature alarm signals.
