How Often Do Cable Granulator Machine Belts Need To Be Adjusted?
Oct 13, 2025
1. Regular Adjustment Cycle
Initial Adjustment: Belt tension should be checked for the first time after three months of operation to ensure it meets the standard (pressing the center of the belt should result in a 1-1.5cm drop).
Subsequent Adjustments:
Dry cable granulator machines: Check the tension every six months. If any deviation or slippage is detected, adjust immediately.
Wet cable granulator machines: Because moisture can easily cause belt expansion, it is recommended to check every three to four months, allowing a 5% shrinkage margin.
2. Key Factors Affecting Adjustment Frequency
Intensity of Use: Continuous operation (such as industrial-grade equipment) requires a shorter adjustment cycle of three to four months.
Environmental Conditions: High dust levels accelerate belt wear in dry equipment, while high humidity levels can easily cause belt aging in wet equipment.
3. Maintenance Recommendations
Dynamic Test: After adjustment, run the machine at no load for five minutes to observe if the belt deviates or makes any unusual noises. Accessory Replacement: If the belt is cracked, hardened, or permanently deformed (elongation exceeds 3%), it must be replaced immediately.
