Analysis Of Common Faults in The Production Of Plastic Granulators

Jun 07, 2024

The main part of the plastic granulator is extrusion, which consists of an extrusion system, a transmission system and a heating and cooling system.
The plastic granulator is a plastic mechanical equipment for plastic recycling. In the process of operating the plastic granulator, the plastic granulator will have various faults, affecting the normal production and operation of the plastic machinery. When encountering a plastic granulator failure, we must first analyze the failure of the plastic granulator and why this situation occurs, and then solve the failure of the granulator according to the situation. Here are some common plastic granulator failures.
1. Reasons for the granulator burning the motor:
1. The motor is too small and burns out due to overload.
2. Manual operation reasons. For example, when the machine does not rise to the set temperature, or the set temperature is lower than the reasonable temperature, the plastic sticks to the screw and the barrel, and the motor is forced to start.
3. The ambient temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is not smooth.
4. The wiring is wrong and the phase is missing.
5. Environmental factors, such as moisture, immersion, etc.
2. The main motor cannot start:
1. There is an error in the start-up procedure. At this time, you need to check the procedure and restart the machine in the correct start-up sequence.
2. There is a problem with the main motor thread. At this time, you need to check the main motor circuit.
3. The main motor and the interlocking device related to the main motor are working. At this time, you need to check whether the lubricating oil pump is started and the status of the interlocking device related to the main motor.
3. The screw runs normally, but no material is discharged:
1. The hopper feed is not continuous.
2. There is a foreign object blocking the feed port or "bridge".
3. A hard metal object falls into the screw groove and blocks the screw groove, and the material cannot be fed normally.
4. The main machine does not rotate or stops instantly:
1. The power supply of the main motor is not connected;
2. The heating time is insufficient, or one of its heaters does not work, resulting in excessive torque and motor overload.
5. Exhaust hole material:
1. The raw material is not clean enough and contains impurities.
2. The feed speed is too fast, making the screw extrusion unstable.
3. The plasticizing temperature is not enough, and the screw extrusion becomes a problem.
6. The main motor rotates, but the screw does not rotate:
1. The transmission V-belt is loose, worn and slipping.
2. The key is loose and falls off or disconnected.
