What Are Some Cable Granulator Machine Troubleshooting Issues?

Aug 20, 2025

1. The cable granulator machine is not discharging material or is discharging insufficient material.
Cause: Improper adjustment of the gravity separator, inappropriate vibration frequency, loose seals, causing the copper and plastic mixture to rebound; or air duct blockage.
Solution: Check and adjust the gravity separator seals. If leaks are detected, replace the seals with new ones. Clean the material blocking the air duct and restart the machine for discharging.
2. The finished copper rice particles are too large or too small.
Cause: Severe wear on the grinding blades; inappropriate fan air volume; uneven spacing between the blades in the cable granulator machine.
Solution: The blades need to be replaced; increase the inlet air volume; and adjust the blade spacing to ensure uniform distribution.
3. Increased current and machine temperature.
Cause: Discharging material too quickly, causing the cable granulator machine to become blocked. Overloading increases current and machine temperature.
Solution: Shut down the machine, remove the blocked material, and reduce the discharging speed. 4. Fan current drops.
Cause: Poor exhaust from the dust collection duct, resulting in heat from the circulating air and a drop in fan current.
Solution: Reduce the feed rate and clean the air duct and dust bags.
5. The finished cable granulator machine contains other metal impurities.
Cause: The raw material was not iron-removed during feeding, or the magnet has lost its effectiveness.
Solution: Install a magnet during feeding, or remove iron impurities from the magnet's surface to restore its effectiveness.
6. The cable granulator machine produces a lot of dust during operation.
Cause: Dry cable granulators use bag filters for dust removal. If not cleaned regularly, dust collection can clog the dust bags.
Solution: Clean the dust bags regularly to ensure they are properly collecting dust.
7. The wire shredder equipment is clogged.
Cause: Excessive feed rate and increased load can cause blockage; broken or aged blades; damaged mesh on the sieve bottom; or excessive oil content in the shredded wire. Solution: Immediately shut down the machine, open the machine cavity, clean the material, and restart the machine. Change the feeding method to maintain a uniform feeding speed. Regularly replace broken or severely aged blades, maintain the cable granulator in good working condition, and regularly inspect the screen bottom.
8. Overall vibration of the cable granulator machine
Cause: Loose anchor bolts or a weak foundation; broken spindles or hard debris in the pulverizing chamber; improper connections between the gravity separator system and other equipment.
Solution: Evenly tighten the anchor bolts and install vibration dampers; regularly inspect the equipment and replace severely worn blades; use flexible joints.
9. Bearing overheating
Cause: Excessive or insufficient lubricant in the bearing, or aging.
Solution: Regularly add lubricant in a fixed amount, typically filling 70%-80% of the bearing space.
